Railway construction hits another climax
According to the plan, during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the central and western countries will invest 1.85 trillion yuan in railway construction and 23,000 kilometers of new lines will be put into operation, accounting for 72% and 77% respectively. In the first three years of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", the central and western regions completed construction investment of 1.15 trillion yuan and put into production 7,000 kilometers of new lines, accounting for 72% and 58% respectively. This year, the central and western railway construction investment and the proportion of new lines put into production have further increased, accounting for 78% and 86% respectively.
In the first half of this year, the China Railway Corporation has raised the railway construction target for this year three times: the national railway fixed asset investment has increased to 800 billion yuan, reaching the second highest level in history; the length of newly built railways has increased to more than 7,000 kilometers, and the number of newly started projects has increased to 64 ; At the same time, 20 reserve projects are arranged to speed up the preliminary work and strive to complete the scientific research work within the year.
By 2015, my country’s railway operating mileage will increase to 123,000 kilometers. The operating mileage opened to traffic from 2014 to 2015 increased by 19,500 kilometers. High-speed railways (passenger dedicated lines), western railways, and road network encryption are the development priorities.

The demand for construction machinery is large and wide

Although the performance of construction machinery in the machinery industry has not been outstanding since the beginning of this year, in May, the export delivery value of the construction machinery industry was 2.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth rate of minus 6.57% and a month-on-month growth rate of minus 10.93%. . From January to May, the export delivery value of the construction machinery industry was 12.543 billion yuan, and the cumulative year-on-year growth rate was negative 5.89%. However, industry insiders said that due to the concentrated start of multiple railway projects and the continuous development of the country's urbanization construction, the operation of the construction machinery industry in the second half of the year is still worth looking forward to.
Steel for construction machinery calls for high-end
The construction machinery industry is a major consumer of steel, and the consumption of steel is second only to the construction industry. Steel for construction machinery generally accounts for more than 30% of the total equipment cost, and has the characteristics of a wide range of varieties and a wide range of specifications. In June of this year, the No. 2 slab continuous caster of the Laiwu Steelmaking Zone of Shanxi Iron and Steel Group successfully produced HQ100 high-strength wear-resistant steel for engineering machinery, and the product quality met the requirements. This steel is a low-alloy quenched and tempered high-strength wear-resistant steel developed in recent years to meet the development needs of the construction machinery industry. It not only has high strength, good low-temperature notch toughness, but also has excellent welding performance. It is suitable for construction machinery, mining machinery and High-strength welded structural steel that is indispensable for the manufacture of large-scale machinery and equipment such as transportation vehicles.
But industry insiders said that at present, on the whole, my country's high-strength construction machinery steel plates still have problems such as low pass rate, low surface quality, poor quality stability, and some high-end products still rely on imports. For the large market faced by construction machinery, leading construction machinery companies are constantly improving the quality of their products, which puts forward higher requirements for the strength level and quality stability of steel materials. Iron and steel companies should also seek opportunities from this and increase their research and development efforts on high-strength steel for construction machinery.
